Visit Lake Tyers Beach for dreamy, windswept sands and vivid blue horizons.

Lake Tyers Beach is the quieter neighbour of Lakes Entrance's swimming beaches, located a 10 minute drive east of Lakes Entrance. While this beach is regarded as a swimming beach, it is unpatrolled, and care must be taken with rips and strong surf.

With an unfettered view out into the Tasman, this is the perfect place for a spot of photography. Bring your binoculars and head to the lookout, where you can do some whale watching during migration season.

If you are after a safe swim, head lakeside. The lake is a calm, family-friendly place to pop on the bathers and have a splash, with much warmer temperatures than the ocean. You can also enjoy some fishing and light water sports – there's a boat ramp, and kayaks are also welcome.
