Lakes Entrance Main Beach is popular for a reason, this picturesque stretch of sand and surf is perfect for surfers, kayakers and fisherfolk alike.

Just a short three-minute walk across the footbridge over Cunninghame Arm from Lakes Entrance proper, this beach is accessible and family friendly. With bathroom facilities and a café that operates during peak holiday season, all you need to do is pack your sunscreen and bathers for fun in the sun.

Take a walk along the crunchy golden sand and gaze out across the Tasman Sea, at the easternmost end of Ninety Mile Beach. Or if you’re feeling sporty, bring your kayak and go for a paddle on the stiller waters of Cunninghame Arm. You can also hire canoes, paddleboats and sailing boats if you didn’t bring your own equipment.
