It’s never boring trundling along the mostly flat coastal walk. The scenery is ever changing with the magnificent shipwreck section featuring an isolated stretch of coastline including the sand patch wilderness area, wide open beaches and small coves with rocky headlands, river estuaries and coastal heathlands. The terrain offers up a smorgasbord of challenges from bush bashing to steep sections.
Spot dolphins, seals and whales and if they are not playing, lookup to find swooping gulls, skittish wrens, calling kookaburras and hunting sea eagles.
Note: Maximum group size is eight. Walkers staying overnight or those who camp using watercraft for access require a permit.
