Pack a picnic and soak up the views over Buchan from One Tree Hill.

Spoiler alert, the single tree for which the site was named was lost in the 2020 bushfires. While there are plenty of trees surrounding the sides of the hill, the crest is bare, affording 360-degree panoramas across the township and sumptuous rolling hills.

There is a picnic table and a firepit with grill, perfect for cooking a few snags.

This pleasant spot is on the way to Balley Hooley (The Junction). It’s a very short detour from Balley Hooley Rd, up a gravel driveway with a turning circle at the end.
