Break up a journey in the Latrobe Valley with a picnic at Narracan Falls, a darling waterfall just off the beaten track.
Enjoy listening to the sound of cascading water. Let the children play in the large open field, complete with a ‘magic’ hollow tree. Fill the esky with a picnic as the area at Narracan Falls Streamside Reserve off Falls Rd is the perfect place for a spot of lunch with the relaxing sound of flowing water as your playlist. Best of all, the area is dog-friendly, so your four-legged family members can join in on the adventure too.
When you arrive, wander through the wide field towards the sound of the waterfall of your left. A short dirt path between the trees takes you down to the river bank in front of the waterfall.
Narracan Falls is accessible via Falls Road from Narracan or Mirboo North-Trafalgar Road, driving between Trafalgar South and Thorpdale. Drive over a one-way bridge over Narracan Creek before arriving at the carpark of Narracan Falls Streamside Reserve.
