Get the lure ready at this lake at the foothills of the Baw Baw National Park.

A lake so still, it provides a beautiful mirror for the sky and surrounds. Swap the dinner table for a barbeque, set amongst Victoria’s serenity. Work up an appetite exploring the area in your kayak, launch from the boat ramp at the dam wall off Spillway Rd.

There is a walking track which connects the northern boat ramp to Blue Rock Rd, just below Willow Grove, for a tranquil wander along the shoreline.

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.

Fishing & Boating

Bring your rod, lemon, pepper and salt. Blue Rock Lake has you covered with the lake full of fish ready to be caught and eaten. Lunch includes trout, redfin, carp and Australian bass.

The main access point for boats is at the northern end of the lake at the ramp off Old Tanjil Rd. This boat ramp is ideal if you are looking to access the Tanjil Arm across the other side of the lake.

No problem if you do not have a boat, the ramp gives you plenty of access to the shoreline.

Swimming

Blue Rock Lake is a popular spot for a refreshing swim on warmer days. There are two designated swimming areas with no fishing or boating allowed. The calm, freshwater lake is surrounded by mountain views making it an inviting place to cool off.

Picnicking

Enjoy lunch by the water on picnic tables and watch the kids make the most of the playground. BBQs and amenities are available. Visitors are encouraged to take all rubbish with them.
