Thanks to Bruthen’s stunning natural surrounds, it is home to a rich network of walking tracks and riding trails.

The East Gippsland Rail Trail passes through the centre of town, crossing the Tambo River. Head east for whispering forests in of the Colquhoun State Forest or west for rich farmland of the Tambo Valley. A short loop around town, Bruthen Town & River Walk takes in the scenic Tambo Riverside as well the delights of the town centre, and Bruthen’s history.

Just north of town, you can experience Bruthen State Forest at the mossy, fern-laden Fairy Dell Walking Track, or a series of bushwalks through box and ironbark forest on the Bruthen Walking Trails.
