1.4km, 40 mins | Bruthen State Forest | Like a scene from Fern Gully, this patch of cool temperate rainforest, full of ferns and moss, makes everything glow green.
It’s not difficult to imagine how this walking track got its name. You get the feeling that fairies might really live here. This short loop track is intensely fragrant, surrounded by tree ferns and towering eucalypts.
The track is wide and well maintained. It has some steps and has moderately steep sections. There is a large parking area with a toilet block and plenty of picnic tables.
The access road to the walk from Bruthen is unsealed and includes several steep sections. It can be driven in a 2WD during dry conditions, but caution is advised on the loose gravel and steep gradients.
