Journey into the heart of the Snowy River National Park, surrounded by cascading water and stunning gorge and forest views.
The vertical drop along McKillop Rd affords breathtaking views of the Victoria’s deepest gorge, Little River Gorge. Following, is the expansive McKillop Bridge, another highlight and a perfect place to take a breather. Enjoy a flask of tea as you take in the views of the river way below and try to spot the previously collapsed bridge from 1934.
Get a break from the driving with plenty of walking, swimming and canoeing opportunities. This drive tours through mountain ash forests to wetter, taller and more imposing forests at the eastern end of the park.
Enjoy sleeping under the stars with the lullaby of the flowing river before another day of adventuring. Bush camping areas offering basic facilities are provided at McKillops Bridge, Raymond Creek Falls, Waratah Flat, Jackson’s Crossing, Little River Junction and Hicks camp site. Dispersed camping is allowed throughout the park.
