Things to do in The Gurdies

The first thing on your itinerary should be The Gurdies Winery, where you can stock up on lush red wines and sweet rosés. The Gurdies Winery plays host to weddings, parties and local events, such as The Gurdies Cup. If you’re not planning a big do, simply bring your own picnic to enjoy an alfresco lunch and a bottle of Gurdies wine under the open sky.

The nearby Gurdies Nature Conservation Reserve is perfect for a post-picnic stroll through the bush. Don’t forget to pack a pair of binoculars so you can enjoy a spot of birdwatching, and while you’re at it, see if you can find some echidnas and wallabies. During some parts of the year, the reserve comes alive with flowering native orchids. Dogs are welcome on lead only.
