Turn off the Bass Highway and wind your way up through the hills to Kernot, where you will find the well-stocked Kernot Food & Wine Store. Built in 1911, the store restaurant offers wood-fired pizzas and homemade treats, with local wines available for purchase. Keep an eye on the store website for news of upcoming live music nights.

The nearby Grove Gippsland is the event venue of your dreams. Whether planning a major birthday or wedding, The Grove is perfectly set up for large gatherings, boasting stunning views from the floor-to-ceiling windows in the reception room. In between sessions on the dance floor, guests can admire the olive grove, where delicious olive oil is made on the grounds. You might end up taking home a few bottles.

Every year Kernot plays host to NYE On the Hill, which has been running for over 10 years. Presented by Triple J, this music festival sells out quickly every time, so mark it in your calendar.
