DH1 Mountain Biking Track

The track is not for the feint hearted. DH1 encompasses an exhilarating 300 metre altitude descent down Mt Baw Baw from the Restaurant to the Old Chairlift Corner. An old school downhill trail with multiple lines rated black diamond or double black depending on the line you take. The track hosts an annual Round of the VDHS mountain bike series for those who'd prefer to watch.

DH1 is open during the green season (excluding major event weekends) from the end of November till late April each year. All riders using this trail are required to wear full face helmets with body armour recommended. Avoid riding this trail on your own and ride to your ability.

Shuttles run through the season and will allow you as many rides as you can manage in a day and are the perfect way for young and old to learn or reacquaint themselves with the trail.
