Access: Easy access via very short bush and sand tracks from the carparks.

The foreshore is a family-friendly beach - complete with toilets and picnic facilities - and a good spot for swimming, fishing and surfing.

Fishing

Bait-up at the Waratah Bay Caravan Park for a spot of ocean fishing. There is no boat ramp so best to launch a tinny off the beach. Just beyond the breakers is a hotspot for first-class whiting. Flathead, Australian salmon and gummy sharks are abundant too… give yourself the best chance to land dinner by fishing as the tide comes in.
