Facing the stunning coastline of Waratah Bay, Sandy Point is a small coastal village.
The population swells in the summer months thanks to its reputation as a wind-surfing paradise. The town is set behind rolling sand dunes, with coastal tracks carving their way down onto the sand.

Foreshore: Southerly facing bay with shallow waters. Flat and wide beach, stretching for 15km.

Boat Launching: Sand access for launching, dependent on tides. Check tide times before driving onto the sand.
Access: Easy access via 100m bush track from main carpark at surf club.
AROUND TOWN

The beach is a hotspot for watersporting types. Offshore Surf School offers surfing lessons for the novice surfer. They also hire out surf boards, paddle boards and oodles of equipment focussed on fun in the water, or you can charter a boat from the General Store.
Starting in the town is the Roy Henderson Trail which will take you on an easy walk through coastal bush, woodlands and views of rolling hills toward Foster. Round out your trip with some family fun at Sandy Point Mini Golf.
Ned Neale’s Lookout gets two thumbs up as a sunset view point, and is also a great vantage point to watch for whales between May and October.
