Tidal River is The Prom HQ, flush with cabins and campsites.

Tidal River Campground is next to the meeting point of Tidal River and Norman Beach. The tea tree-stained river is ideal for kayaking or canoeing amongst the boulder-lined river bank.

There is a small general store selling basic supermarket and emergency items. Pop into the visitor centre where the friendly staff provide information about walks and things to do in the park. There are toilets, plenty of barbecue facilities and grassy areas to watch the animals roam.

Accommodation

Tidal River boasts a diverse array of lodgings, where waves can be heard crashing onto Norman Beach. There are oodles of campsites, both powered and unpowered, cabins and group lodges. Up the camping ante and stay at the award winning Wilderness Retreats, a safari-style temperature-controlled tent complete with queen bed and ensuite.

For a unique experience, hikers can stay in the historic Wilsons Promontory Lightstation.
