Take some time to explore the Bass Coast’s hinterland.

This rich dairy country boasts windy roads begging to be explored on a Sunday Drive through cartoonishly-green hills that salute the sun and rain.

Archies Creek

Just outside of Wonthaggi, pocket-sized Archies Creek has barely more than a church, a pub and a post box along the tree-lined main street.

The Archies Creek Hotel’s live music line-up draws a crowd from miles around. Kick back with burgers, tapas and rustic pizzas and soak up the tunes at their popular Sunday sessions.

There’s also a monthly variety market held on the first Saturday of each month.

Dalyston

Dear little Dalyston sits among the idyllic countryside. Admire the Old Dalyston Church, a beautifully renovated 100 year old tiny church.
