The Gurdies Nature Conservation Reserve offers easy walking trails, abundant wildlife and seasonal wildflowers.
Pack a picnic and binoculars to enjoy birdwatching, keep an eye out for honeyeaters, rosellas and other colourful locals. Quietly scan the undergrowth and fallen logs to spot echidnas going about their day, and look out for wallabies grazing along sheltered grassy edges at dawn or dusk.
Dogs are permitted at The Gurdies Nature Conservation Reserve.
The Reserve spans 260 hectares and features multiple walking tracks that wind through bushland, making it an easy and enjoyable walk for families and nature lovers. In spring the Reserve can burst into colour as native orchids and other wildflowers bloom, creating beautiful photo opportunities, accompanied by the cheerful sounds of birds all around.
Picnic tables are available for those who’d like to linger a little longer, and dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.
