A 21m tall historic timber trestle bridge, one of the only remaining of its kind in Victoria.
The Noojee Trestle Bridge sits along the meandering old railway line through the Noojee Bushland Reserve and the emerald green township of Noojee. The grand structure stands amongst mountain ash forest and is a brilliant and well preserved timber rail bridge, one of the only remaining historic timber trestle bridges in Victoria.
Spotting the impressive structure on your travels will surely evoke an approving nod, with its towering height of 21 metres and length of 102 metres. It is supported old school style with 19 timber beams jutting out of the earth.
The base is the perfect place for a picnic, easily accessed by a gravel car park. The bridge is the starting point for a number of walking and cycling tracks that carve through the towering forest. To get a proper feel for the area ride or walk along the Noojee Trestle Bridge Rail Trail and capture the majesty of the bridge.
