The Port Albert Progress Association (PAPA) is excited to bring the National Gone Fishing Day to Port Albert in 2026.

They have got a fun, community-focused event that celebrates fishing, marine education, local businesses, and the unique lifestyle of Port Albert.

Visit the Mini Fishing Expo at the Port Albert Hall where you can attend a Q and A Fishing Panel, hear from guest speakers including Jet Worsteling from iFISH TV, Peter Ferguson from Fishing with Fergy, Matt Stephenson from Fishcare Vic. The event also includes Marine Safety Refresh Sessions (Coastguard), Children's Jetty Fishing Experience (Fishcare Victoria) free community barbeque and events at the Maritime Museum. There will also be a town-wide promotional fish menu.
