Venture through the scenery that inspired Banjo Patterson’s The Man From Snowy River, ‘where the river runs those giant hills between’.
This track is one of Victoria’s most isolated areas, with ascends that will reward you with 360 degree panoramas over forest and wildflower plains. Passing through the Tom Groggin Station will give you insight into Australian bush poetry history. Another must do, is fishing for trout in one of the crystal clear mountain streams along the way.
The drive can also be reached via Tom Groggin from the north and Corryong or Tallangattta from the northwest. The drive is not accessible during the seasonal road closure period (June to November).
