  3. Town & Country Gallery, Yarragon

Town & Country Gallery is a Yarragon institution, and deservedly so.

Located on Yarragon’s main street, Town & Country Gallery has been a centrepiece of the town for more than 30 years. This lovely studio is a cornucopia of dreamy paintings, sculptures, giftware, furniture and jewellery.

A gentle cruise down the Princes Highway just over an hour from Melbourne, Yarragon is where suburbia gives way to mint paddocks and gently undulating hills in a fervent display of country calm. It’s a town of delights, where arts, homewares and collectables are backed by a strong cafe and delicatessen culture.

Town & Country Gallery’s ever-changing collection is beautifully and thoughtfully curated, featuring Australian - and especially Gippsland - artists. Scenes of beloved Gippsland landscapes, flora and fauna often feature in the works, an homage to the land that has inspired so many. The hand blown glass and sculptures are simply swoon-worthy, with pieces ranging from quirky to elegant, all creating a talking point for the home.

Make sure you carve out time to wander this gem on your next visit to Yarragon and perhaps take a souvenir home.
