The Garden at Broughton Hall has stirred from her slumber, performing her annual show-stopping display. The beds are filled with delicate bulbs in September, cherry blossoms bloom radiantly in October, and (*cue the jazz hands*) a finale of swoon-worthy roses in November. Bring your own picnic to enjoy in these fairytale grounds.

Broughton Hall is located in Jindivick, just an hour and a quarter from Melbourne in the midst of idyllic countryside. The property sits overlooking the Tarago River, backdropped by layers of mint-green hills. The owners have gone to great lengths in the gardens so you don’t get too distracted by the spellbinding views.

The 25 year old garden is filled with twisting paths leading to different sections of the garden, dotted with features like antique Egyptian gates, hedge centrepieces, and a walkway of Romanesque columns wrapped in happy, winding roses. There are plenty of park benches along the way for contemplation.

When you’ve finished marvelling the heavenly gardens, pop in to Muskers onsite nursery, filled with rare and unusual plant species. The collection celebrates diversity with an eclectic range of trees, shrubs and perennials as well as bulbs in season.
