Old Gippstown Heritage Park

Old Gippstown is an open-air history museum located in Moe, Victoria and set in eight acres of parkland.

Browse through the main street shops and soak up the atmosphere of Gippsland’s past from the 1840s to the 1930s. Visit the 35 original relocated buildings and their collections such as Bushy Park homestead, Yallourn House and Rhoden’s Halfway House- one of the few remaining Cobb & Co. inns in existence.

Featuring several National Trust classified buildings, vehicles from the 1920s, and displaying one of the best collections of horse-drawn vehicles and farm equipment in Australia, Old Gippstown has something to offer every history buff.

Free Wi-Fi and QR Codes throughout the buildings provide access to additional historic information and images.

Old Gippstown also offers a range of educational and hands on activities for school groups such as the Blacksmith at his forge, the General Store, school life experience in the Sunny Creek School, old fashioned games, fire truck rides and butter making.

There are also several picturesque spaces that can be hired for events and functions such as Weddings, Birthdays, Corporate functions or Christmas gatherings.

There is ample parking right outside the door, and a charging station close by. There is also a Café on site for delicious meals, drinks, cakes and lollies.
