The Oaks is one of several beaches that make up the Bunurong Coastal Reserve. The look-out point from the road offers spectacular elevated panoramas. Keep your binoculars handy between May - October to watch the majestic humpback and southern right whales pass by the coast on their migratory journey.
This 250m sandy stretch of beach offers a welcomed break in the rocky coastline. While this beach is exposed to the full power of the Southern Ocean, there are good beach breaks for surfing.

Foreshore: An opening in the rocky coastline with a 250m stretch of sand.
Activities: Surfing, fishing and rock pooling. Caution is advised for swimmers due to strong rips.
Boat Launching: No
Access: A foot track enters the beach from the road. While the track is not long, it passes along a bluff of 30m elevation so some fitness is required.
